Madison Square Garden

Day 5

Being a HUGE egg enthusiast, i take joy in trying out all as many types of eggs cooked in as many methods as possible. and one of the egg dishes i really wanted to try all these years is called Egg Benedict! it's a poached egg on a toasted English muffin with ham, topped with Hollandaise sauce. And i finally got to try it at breakfast at Pershing Square :) :)

Looks pretty doesn't it?
The runny egg yolk within the white encrust tastes great! but i didn't like poached egg cos it tastes plasticky!
i did some research and do u know what? The egg macmuffin in Macdonald's is a cheap man's variant of the Egg Benedict!
in the past the poor replaced Hollandaise sauce with a slice of cheese and someone massed produced metal rings to cook the egg and Egg MacMuffin was born! and it was through the Egg MacMuffin that Macdonald successfully captured the fastfood breakfast market. cool right? :)

Anw my boss treated me to dinner at a very nice restaurant in Bryant Park. It' a pretty lil place in the middle of a garden and I had lamb chops (my fave!). super yummy!

And then i headed to Madison Square Garden hoping to buy tickets to next week's NBA match between NY Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers but alas the sales counters were all closed! But nice to see the place in real life!
